Approach

How we carry out the work

Across all five pillars we use the same set of methods, so that what we learn in one programme improves the next.

  • Research and evidence

Studies, surveys and impact assessments before and during a programme. Monitoring, evaluation and documentation of what it achieved.

  • Training and awareness

Workshops, seminars, conferences and training programmes, along with capacity building for community institutions.

  • Publishing and knowledge-sharing

Educational and training material, books, reports, journals, research papers and digital content.

  • Technology for development

AI, digital platforms and data put to work in social-development programmes where they make a real difference.

  • Centres and field presence

Research, training, learning and community centres, with programme offices and project locations across India.

  • Grants and programme support

Support for eligible organisations and beneficiaries doing aligned work, wherever the law permits.

Partners

Built to work with others

Lasting change needs many hands. We welcome collaboration with institutions of every size, in India and internationally, subject to applicable law.

  • Central and State Governments, local authorities and public institutions
  • NGOs, Section 8 companies, trusts and societies
  • Universities and research institutions
  • CSR foundations and corporate organisations
  • United Nations agencies and other national and international development organisations
